Bahia Esmeralda is located on a lush hillside overlooking the Golfo Dulce, within minutes walk of deserted tropical beaches and world class waves. The lodge is surrounded by 70 acres of primary and secondary rain forest, filled with exotic plants, birds and animals unique to this region.

No where else on the planet could you expect to see Scarlet Macaws, Toucans and four species of monkeys, not to mention Poison Dart frogs, Morpho butterflies, humming birds and anteaters, all from the lodge's front room or verandah. The main lodge affords a great deal of freedom and privacy with the comforts of home, rather than the impersonal setting of a large hotel. This allows us to offer exceptional service to each guest.
